As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with youths and adults, as well as solution-focused, brief therapy with couples and families.

Our relationship is an important part of our work together. I am high energy and all about putting in the work, but not putting in the work for you. I believe in everyone's ability to face their challenges and change their unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. There is nothing that you have gone through or are currently facing that can stop you from truly enjoying your life.

I believe together we can unleash the overcomer that is already inside of you.

MY PRIMARY THEORETICAL ORIENTATION

My primary theoretical orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. The goal of CBT is to identify and change the thinking or behavior behind people’s difficulties, which helps them also change how they feel. CBT has been demonstrated by many research studies to be the most effective approach to therapy for a variety of psychological problems. In CBT, problems are understood and explained by the cognitive model and a variety of techniques are used to change unhelpful beliefs, problematic assumptions, and distorted perceptions.

There are other approaches under the CBT umbrella that are also part of my clinical practice including cognitive therapy, problem-solving therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and solution-focused therapy. I integrate these approaches based on your needs.
